We were pleased that they didn't put a lot of salt in the food. In Alameda we cannot eat at Shirasoni anymore because of the excessive salt. Hana Japan food tastes like real flavors rather than just like salt. The portions are generous too and the staff is friendly. Do not use Open Table to reserve. Open Table is complicated. It is user-unfriendly and you are never sure if your reservation went through correctly. Call Hana Japan directly to make your reservation. Open Table is very time-wasting and once they have your email address they hound you with emails. Hana Japan will always answer the phone and take your reservation.
