About Pappy's Grill and Sports Bar

Pappy’s Grill honors UC Berkeley’s famed head coach, Pappy Waldorf, with a fleet of 12 high-definition televisions and a 205-inch projection screen broadcasting the latest sporting events. Sixteen beers on tap wash down burgers topped with avocado and salads filled with sunflower seeds, crispy rice noodles, and tuna. Chefs prepare their barbecue offerings by seasoning tri tip steaks, pulled pork, and ribs the night before slow-smoking them. They also take the time to make barbecue sauce from scratch, along with sides of potato salad and coleslaw.

When the sun sets Thursday through Saturday, Pappy’s Grill’s bottom floor transforms into a night club, LUX Lounge, where guests can dance under the lights while an in-house DJ spins tunes. More than 100 different liquors sate thirsty patrons while they play classic bar games, including pool, darts, and Go Fish.
