About Boston Casting

Boston is experiencing a filmmaking renaissance, led in part by city native Mark Wahlberg, star of Patriots Day and Ted, and David O. Russell, the Oscar-nominated director behind American Hustle, Joy, and The Fighter. All of those films were shot in the Boston area and populated by actors and extras from around New England. Boston Casting was the company that found them.

For more than 25 years, casting director Angela Peri and her colleagues have been finding the right actors for the right roles in movies, scripted shows, reality TV, and commercials. They've also partnered with a stable of successful voiceover artists, actors, and producers to offer instruction through Boston Casting's Media Performance Institute. They coach performers of all ages on topics ranging from on-camera acting to standup comedy to auditioning. Many of the classes are useful for non-actors who simply want to boost their confidence and improve their public-speaking skills.
