The museum is located in a beautiful part of Bradenton, close to the Riverwalks. The manatee are so peaceful and amazing to view. I am so happy that I brought my kids to understand the importance of safe boating for the future of manatee!

My kids enjoyed it. It would be nice to see the manatees up closer, touch them and feed them the way it use to be years ago. They we're very excited though. The planetarium was great.

Charming museum - lots of information on the history of South Florida from prehistoric times to the post-World II years. The best thing is Snooty the manatee and the other manatees currently in residence. The people who work at the museum are very pleasant and kind. Highly recommend!

Plan to spend 2 - 3 hrs. there. A lot of interesting things to see. Especially liked the feeding of Snooty and the other 2 manatees.

This museum was very impressive. It was clean, modern, appropriately lit and had very nice exhibits. There was almost too much to absorb in one visit. The planetarium was enjoyable and the manatee area was very impressive. We have lived in Manatee County for six years and this was our first time to the SFM!

lovely place, lots of seating around, cool, spacious, plenty of wonderful artifacts & dioramas and we especially love Snooty!!!! The silver collection is to die for! A little bit of everything, wonderful presentation, a very good place to spend a few hours. The ladies who work there (volunteers?) are very nice! The yalso offered a wheelcahir for my 90 year old mom, but we had a walker & took our time, we will go back, a most enjoyable afternoon.
