About River Edge Farms

River Edge Farm owner Mercedes Rolandelli has been riding horses since she was a youngster in Argentina. Her love of the animals inspired her to establish her own farm in a verdant corner of the Garden State. Here, she offers horseback-riding lessons and camps, encouraging her students to interact with horses and glean life lessons from them such as patience, courage, and emotional growth. These sessions instill horsemanship skills such as grooming and tacking but also help build the students’ confidence and give them a method of self-expression. Girls gather to learn riding from the ground up in a friendly and supportive environment. In the end, they may learn invaluable life-lessons from their equine companions, including patience, resiliency, courage, dignity, and determination.
