About Framers' Workshop

Since 1976, Framers' Workshop has set treasured art, photos, and memorabilia within comely, carefully constructed borders. The shop's staff welcomes all framing challenges, unfazed by any size project involving original art, textiles, sports jerseys, or captured space-pilot smugglers. In addition to custom framing, there are 10 do-it-yourself workstations where you can build your own frames from scratch, either with store materials or with your own. Staff members remain on-call for queries by do-it-yourselfers, and will help correct any framing mistakes.

A friendly family framing shop with many framing options and lots of bench space to do your own framing. Save money with DIY with help from the Framers' Workshop team. Open late most evenings. Highly recommended.

Choosing the frame and matting for your piece can take a bit of time depending on how selective you are. It is also the bottle neck point because the shop can only handle two or three people in this area at a time. You should also be aware that not everything is in stock and ready to go. Some of the nicer or more unique frames will need to be ordered. Therefore you should plan accordingly if you are expecting to walk in with a loose piece of ate and out with a completely framed piece a hour later. The staff is very patient however and will let you take as much time as you need.

I went on a Friday afternoon, and there was no wait. I can see that it's probably busy on weekends. I had a great experience, they were sooo helpful, and I will definitely be back! I don't think I will go anywhere else for framing!

I LOOOOOVE this place. It's like a magical secret in Brookline. Surprisingly doing your own framing is therapeutic, and the staff is fabulous, the end result is professional. Awesome music and vibes, one of my favorite and unique finds in the Boston area!
