Debi Marlowe, the proprietor and head instructor of Marlowe Show Stables, has four decades of equestrian experience and an abiding passion for teaching. During her long riding career, Debi focused primarily on hunter, jumping, and equitation, and has nurtured the careers of countless other champion jumper as well. But Debi also relishes working with outright beginners, many of whom have never even been on a horse before. In addition to active riding instruction, riders under Debi's care learn the ropes of proper equitation and horsemanship, ultimately leading them to become confident riders and well-rounded horsepeople.

Come a bit early to rent shoes if u need them. My daughter is having a great time with all the dogs here.

I had an amazing experience with Debi Marlowe. Very professional, an excellent teacher and overall top notch horsemanship skills. I would highly recommend taking lessons at this stable. It is clean, the horses are well-mannered and the training is impeccable. Debi is patient, kind and everything you would want in a trainer. To be able to say that an English horseback riding lesson was calming and relaxed is a very rare occurrence. I have been riding since I was a young girl and all of my trainers up to this point have been harsh and 'in-your-face' type attitudes. Debi is not like that at all. She is the first trainer I can actually say I can listen to without being afraid of. She makes all the right corrections BEFORE it's too late. Which can be very important if any of you readers plan on being in a horse show some day. I am so grateful to have had this experience with someone who really cares and knows EXACTLY how to teach a great lesson. Don't waste your time anywhere else. This is the barn you want to be at and the trainer you want to learn from, grow and achieve your goals.

Debbie makes you feel comfortable and is very attentive to your needs. She makes the experience fun. She takes pride in how she cares for her horses, and the staff is friendly. This is an excellent place to start horseback riding lessons!

I was looking forward to a rewarding riding lesson experience. Debbie cancelled my first lesson a few hours prior to time. I had an emergency hours before lesson 2 to which she said, "I have a 24 hour cancellation policy, this is your second lesson". I get clarification and she she says,"your next lesson will be your last lesson" meaning no lesson 2 for me at all. Unwilling to compromise. Not fair

Be prepared to pay 25 bucks to rent boots and a hat and another 5 bucks for horse cookies, and the owner makes you feel like a bother, and an idiot beginner. I used one of the three lessons I paid for. It was really unpleasant.
