About Seahorse Water Safaris

Born and raised in Port St. Joe, Captain Roger Thomas has immersed himself in Gulf Country nature his entire life. He'd go fishing and hiking with his dad as a tot, and at Southern Tide Charters, he now passes his own wildlife wisdom to new generations. In fact, he estimates that Southern Tide is one of the only charter companies around that welcomes families and small kids. Captain Roger delights in helping passengers nab the finest catch they can, all while sharing inside knowledge on what he calls on his website, "the real Florida." What's more, he actually cleans passengers' haul, prepping their trout, flounder, or bass—or other variety—depending on the body of water—for the kitchen.
