This is a nice restaurant and the setting is welcoming. The food is excellent and service outstanding. Our waiter was an experienced professional. The menu is true to its Portuguese-American roots. Prices are modest. Our experience was reminiscent of fine restaurants in Southern Europe and the Iberian Peninsula. Definitely will return and have been recommending the Sunset Café to friends.

The food was delicious! However, our server was always rushing us and even took some of the food out of our table when we were not even done with it. Be aware of that and make them understand you want to take your time.

Not a fine dining experience. More like a down-home East Cambridge Portuguese greasy spoon with mild ambitions toward destination dining.
