The yawning flatlands of the greater Chicagoland area might seem like a strange place to find the United States's oldest continuously open ski club, but that's exactly where Norge Ski Club makes its home. Opened in 1905 by a crowd of powder-loving Norwegians, the club helps skiers catch some sweet air thanks to an artificial hill that towers above the treetops. Today, it hosts a jumping tournament every winter and summer, turning the event into a spectator sport with brats, popcorn, and alcoholic beverages.

We've been before and it's always a good time. Expect crowds, so get there early! Also, we took are little guy for the first time and it was really a challenge. This was definitely a learning experience, so not knocking any points from the Norge Ski Jump event. Think about changing diapers or a little one using a porta-potty in the snow and cold. Probably easier with older kids or as an adult only event.

Been going to Norge my whole life. Hands down the best winter and autumn event in town and all around.

Ski jumping was great the club does a great job of hosting good food cold beer hot cider& hot Chocolate at a reasonable price will definitely be back next year

One of the best winter activities to attend. Be ready for large and friendly crowds. Parking can be tough so arrive early. Good food and great drinks.
