About Charlotte Checkers - Time Warner Cable Arena

Though Charlotte Checkers history dates back nearly a half-century, today's Checkers made their AHL debut just recently in 2010. As the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes, the team breeds young talent capable of performing in a professional environment while withstanding gale-force winds. Fans at Bojangles’ Coliseum lend their support by drawing up backwards plays on the fogged-up glass, and mascot Chubby entertains the crowd by dancing and riding four-wheelers on the ice at intermission.

Live hockey games are fun for people of all ages! Whether you're familiar with the sport or not, it's a great way to spend an evening. The Bojangles Coliseum has been completely renovated, food prices are reasonable, and there is ample parking which all adds to the experience. Get out there to support your local AHL team ~ you'll have a blast! (There is HC placard parking and seating accommodations that don't require climbing stairs for those in need - just contact the box office.)

Dress warm. Bring a cow bell as a noise maker. All seats are good. Get there early, especially if there is a event at the 2 other venues next to Bojangles that coincides with the game.

Great venue, just make sure you have cash for many of the specialty food & beer carts...the regular concessions take both cash & cards but not the carts

The seats near the glass are too small...unless you're a vogue model or 8 years old, it will be a tight squeeze!

We had a great time!
