About Dog's Life Training

A graduate of Animal Behavior College's Dog Training Program, Lexi Johnson knows that dog training is as much about teaching the human as it is the pet. The Dog's Life Training gets to know each dog owner during in-depth chats to help them understand what actions most effectively quash their canine’s behavioral issues. Next, Ms. Johnson thoroughly evaluates the dog, takes breed-specific issues into account, and creates a customized training program accessible to dogs of all reading levels.

Unlike aversive methods, all of Ms. Johnson's programs center around positive reinforcement that rewards good behavior with crunchy treats. Every family member gets a chance to jump in, establishing a clear leadership role and eliminating undesirable behaviors such as barking, biting, or performing Shakespearean sonnets with swear words added. Ms. Johnson, with occasional assistance from assistant trainer Travis, works with clients at public parks or in their own homes, which she encourages as it creates a familiar, effective training environment for the pooch.
