About Israeli Krav Maga

Israeli Krav Maga teaches law enforcement officers, military trainees, and ordinary citizens to use combat skills originally developed for the Israeli defense forces and modified for civilian self-defense. Having trained under krav maga founder Imi Lichtenfeld, Grandmaster Haim Gidon now oversees the instructors he has trained and certified. Some of Gidon's instructors––who have military and law enforcement experience––have been featured in USA Today and on NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox News, and have even trained celebrities such as John Mayer, whose guitar has been known to pick fights with him. These faculty members teach krav maga with a focus on empowering students while helping them to develop awareness, and life-saving skills.

It's open friendly and everyone is encouraging. I like the realness of the teachings and the application to use this defense in real life scenarios. I have learned the basics quickly and have some takeaway skills even just after 2 training sessions. I absolutely love the craft the way it's taught and the comradery there. I plan to continue!

We've taken 2 classes so far and are really enjoying it. Everyone there is so friendly & the others in the class give great tips while doing drills. Don spent our first class with us the whole time which was wonderful because the class could have been a bit intimidating (as most new things can be). I highly recommend trying it out.

I participated in a group self defense class for runners. Don and Suzanne were fantastic and certainly taught us useful and practical ways to protect ourselves. I highly recommend this place. Hoping to continue my learning and training in the near future! :-)
