For someone who spent his childhood fishing and his teenage years as a first mate, the role of captain seemed like a natural progression for L.J.K.'s Luke Koller. Now that he's steering his own way, Koller uses his expertise of southern Maryland's waters to steer groups to the best fishing spots, where they can reel in rockfish, bluefish, white perch, and trout. On his charter trips, boats are also equipped with multi-gallon fish boxes where they can store their catches or beer to give a particularly thirsty mackerel.
