Candy Dash 5K and Kid Run is a race that assists a greater cause as much as it treats its participants. Registered runners contribute to GirlForward, an organization dedicated to creating opportunities for young girls who have been displaced. Meanwhile, those participating run through what looks like candy land, including sweet treat tastings throughout the event. Not only that, each runner receives a Candy Dash t-shirt, a candy-themed 5K medal, and, of course, lots of candy. Runners who dash through the race the quickest receive an award, while those who are unable to make the race physically can register virtually online and participate in the fun as well.
