About Katakana Sushi Bar

Executive chef Abdon Calderon adds an international spin to Japanese fare, invading traditional maki with ingredients such as plantains, coconut, and chocolate. Lunch and dinner crowds sample Japanese tempura, bento boxes, and sashimi, arriving with their own adult beverages in tow. The 4,000-square-foot space hosts guests in a main loft-style dining room among the vivid red walls of a lounge furnished with white booths, or on a small patio by the flickering glow of tiki torches, sure to soften facial features or snarling werewolf-face masks.

It's pricy-I wouldn't go there without some kind of coupon....also while the food was amazing...the waitress smelled of wet spine which is a personal fear of mine so it was at times not easy to be in there

The sashimi appetizer is overpriced for the amount of food you get.

This place has a great atmosphere to dine, great sushi to eat and great service to compliment. We had the Sumo Godzilla, Katakana rice plate and banana dessert. All are HIGHLY recommended! From presentation to flavors to taste definitely 5 stars!!!

2 different menus, Fri-Sun is different from Mon-Thurs menu. Weekday menu has more to offer and they have a great Monday special. Totally recommend.

Despite a large party in the opposite side of the restaurant, service was good and food was delicious as always.

If it's you're first time going for sushi I would not suggest it. The waiteress was rude not helpful. Expected you to know everything.
