It is no secret that Cleveland native, historian, and self-proclaimed people person Karl C. Johnson loves his city. He decided to put his knowledge to use by crafting his own distinctive tours that replace standard architectural jargon with vibrant yarns involving history, politics, and personal experiences. During Segway tours, Karl gives his guests a choice in the amount of narration he performs, from moderately narrated tours that cover more ground to fully narrated tours that progress more slowly.

Riding a Segway is always something I wanted to try and it was lots of fun :-) Carl was delightful. I hope I'm half as spry as Carl is when I'm 84

Karl was great at explaining how to use a segway. He gave us our option of tours, since we had been there before...and we will be back again. Had a great time!

The route we took around city center was eye opening. So many positive changes in the Cleveland landscape that we could view up close rather than doing the viewing while driving a car. Our guide was very safety conscious. The tower city office had easy access to the outside. We got a little history along with the fun.

Karl was an amazing guide! He quickly gave us a refresher (we are repeat customers) on how to operate a segway, and then we were off! He gave us a choice of tours--we picked the Flats. His commentary of the landmarks and history of the Cleveland area was terrific. And, did I mention that he is a spry man of 84 year?

First time on a Segway. Carl was a great Segway instructor and tour guide. Had a great time! Looking forward to riding a Segway in other cities. Easy, peasy; would highly recommend.

Karl was wonderful! So full of information and a real great guy. Not only did he make us laugh and remain interested but he made everyone we passed in the city smile! I have already highly recommended this and will continue too. Thanks Karl!!
