With over 30 years of local experience, Joe's shop is the best around. Castaway Fly Fishing Shop also boasts several exclusive guiding rights on waterways around Coeur d'Alene, ID.

What is the experience customers can expect?

Anglers will learn from guides who love the sport, many of them learning from Joe or his staff as they've grown up in the area. Your time will start at the shop and end on the water. We provide refreshments and the equipment. Classes are limited to 6 allowing for great one on one casting time.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Fish! Without their contribution to the ecosystem our area would change. With the longevity of our business in North Idaho we've been at the fore front of instituting a catch and release policy on the CDA River for Native Cutthroat Trout.

What do you love most about your job?

My office! Where else can you go to work and enjoy the beauty mother nature has to offer? My office changes daily, hourly and sometimes by the minute. Stop on by, nature is calling!
