"We make just about everything here from scratch," says John LaRocca, the general manager of Café 115 at Mizzou North. And whatever they don't make, they source from local businesses, which is why you might recognize cheese from Goatsbeard Farm, ice cream from Buck's, and sushi from Jina Yoo's Asian Bistro.

Students at Mizzou have come to rely on Café 115 for a grab-and-go salad or tasty baked good between classes, but the general public has also caught on to this café's charms. If you don't have a lecture or lab to attend, sit down for a while and feast on a plate of made-from-scratch biscuits and gravy, baked chicken parmesan, or fried catfish filet. Deli sandwiches are also a popular option, as they can be deconstructed and squished discreetly between the pages of textbooks.
