Shortly after John Rodaz founded Area Stage Company in 1989, the Sun Sentinel described it as "one of the most influential theatres in the region." And much of that influence has inspired he next generation of thespians. Students of the the Area Stage Company's Theater Conservatory take a 25-hour whirlwind courses that culminates with a live 30-minute show. Throughout the course, participants learn how to use the stage for honest storytelling, and how to get out of their comfort zones and take risks.

Great little hidden gem of a stage company, will definitely keep them on my radar. I love plays and they're local & low-key enough to enjoy alone w/o all the crazy crowds or anything. My only gripe was with the consession stand, I spend 4 bucks for a can of Sprite & an old Crunch Bar that was white and from the look of it had been melted and rehardened at some point in its lifetime. If you're going to charge that much for so little, at the very least sell a "fresh" product. Other than that, had a great experience and I'll definitely go again.

I did not know that it was a performance by children and teenagers but it was entertaining nonetheless.
