Dallas Observer Artopia serves as a nexus for the city's thriving cultural scene, honoring local music, cuisine, and fashion in one revelrous Saturday evening. For three hours, live performances by French 75, George Quartz, and DJ Sober energize crowds while visual artwork and fashion displays catch visitors' eyes. Local restaurants showcase their creations by serving small food and drink samples. Dallas Observer Artopia also celebrates the accomplishments of local artists by awarding grants to individuals who made notable contributions to the artistic scene, as well as the local communities in general.
