I have been going there since the 70's and the food and margaritas are yummy. The new owners did a lovely job of improving the menu and cleaning up the space but the lighting is the pits! It feels old and dull and ruins the potential for ambiance. The room is so large, some softer accent lighting would totally change the place. I would even put those Mexican doilys across the ceiling to make it feel more warm and festive. The ceiling needs to be covered. I would go more often if the prices were lower too. We go to Las Trancas regularly because its affordable and once in a while to Estradas as a treat.

Very surprised that we were the only two in the restaurant at dinner time and still waited nearly 25 min for our food. However I will say we were pleasantly pleased once we tasted it.
Still a long wait though
