D14 Airsoft beats them all in terms of tactical combat simulation, right down to staffers who completely assume the role of squadron leader. Once decked out in the requisite safety gear, teams head to the outdoor airsoft field—rain or shine— to compete, aiming at each other and firing tiny plastic BBs that provide all the same thrills as paintball but without the mess.

From airsoft pistols to airsoft sniper rifles, the list of permitted artillery grants players ample room in terms of strategy—as does the terrain. A sprint or stealthy crawl across the playing field reveals buildings, rubble, trenches, and even an abandoned plane. Or, at least it appears abandoned.
