About Gymboree Play & Music Williamsville

In 1976, busy California mother Joan Barnes wanted nothing more than to find a play place where she and her kids could enjoy age-appropriate, educational activities. Finding none, she developed her own innovative play environment within a developmental-based program structure now known as Gymboree Play & Music. Today, kids tumble and learn in more than 650 locations in 33 countries around the world, engaging in open play and classes designed to build cognitive and motor skills. As parents participate in their children's development, their kids learn to paint, play music, and interact socially outside of their preschool knitting circles.

Great place for young children. We chose to go to music class and the teacher was knowledgeable, patient, and well organized. The children learn how to follow directions, about different types of music and instruments, and have lots of fun singing, dancing, and making music. Open gym times are great for the kids to burn off extra energy and have fun.

Wording is so unclear. States unlimited classes, not true. Also it is only good for 5 weeks of classes. This is also unclear. All of this would have been fine if it was in writing and stated clearly when we signed up. None of this was explained.

Classes are so tiny, and the reason I would want my child to go is for the socialization aspect. Jessica needs to address caretakers on cell phones as well, many caretakers pay no attention to their child and use the time to socialize and play on their phones which is distracting- be present!! Too expensive to make it worthwhile for this Mom, and that combined with the above concerns are enough for me not to go back. Had taken my child their about a year ago, had Sam concerns. Thought things might have improved, however, if anything the classes were even smaller, parents more distracted.
