Backed by a lifetime of horse-riding and driving experience, Broken Tree Horse & Harness owners Lois and Vance guide their fleet of steeds on scenic strolls through the Minnesota countryside. The horses—which include an Arabian mare, a Quarab, and numerous Norwegian Fjord breeds—pull a range of wheeled and bladed transports to fit the seasons. In warmer weather, riders hop on a wagon to enjoy a 10-mile trip around a lake or a three-hour ride out to a historic 1880s schoolhouse, built in a time when horses still weren't allowed to learn math. During the autumn and winter, riders sip hot chocolate on brisk sleigh rides over freshly fallen snow.

My wife and I had a great time. The owners were very friendly and we're already planning to make the trip to Isanti next year for another sleigh ride. Also, it's a great gift, at the end of the ride we ended up purchasing gift certificates for my wife's parents.

The operators of the horse ride were friendly. The horses were calm and relaxed and allowed us to be close to them and pet them. The ride with the jingle bells was relaxing and enjoyable.

I think they need to give their guests more time to get there beverages. We were rushed and told to hurry. Being rushed is not relaxing, other than that it was a nice ride. Beautiful horses.

Lois and the driver were so nice! They have a beautiful trail through a prairie and then winding through a woods lit by tiny solar powered candles. It was fun and romantic to snuggle under the blankets that they provided. I would love to go back during winter for a sleigh ride!
