An olympic-size sheet of ice provides hours of entertainment for the individuals that convene at Park City Ice Arena. A special public skate session – Cosmic Skate – darkens the arena before illuminating the ice with colored lights. Technicians use sonar to measure the ice's thickness, ensuring that the rink is between 1.25 and 1.5 inches thick.
