The El Cerrito Swim Center features a recreation pool with a shallow play area, dew drop fountain and a water slide. The competition pool is available during summer recreation swims and features three lap swim lanes and two diving boards. Both pools keep a constant schedule packed with lessons, fitness classes, and lifeguard courses. The pools are also home to area teams including the East Bay Masters Water Polo Club and the El Cerrito Gators youth swim teams.
Families can take advantage of facilities that include covered picnic tables, a grass lawn, and a barbecue area which are available for rental. The center also offers younger guests a Splash Park, a water-fueled playground with fountains and an installation of colorful buckets that pour water.

The pool maximum capacity is fairly low which is good in swimmers but bad for those waiting in line, especially in hot weather.

They are very friendly, nice staff, clean bathrooms and showers. The hours for recreational time are not that easy or flexible during the summer. Overall an amazing Pool to play with friends!

This place is really great overall. Always run into people from school or the neighborhood. Families are typically nice and kids are mostly well behaved. There are a few who don’t seem to know how to follow rules, but those are the outliers and stand out from the crowd. Come EARLY!!! It gets packed before they open!!! There will be a LINE in summer!!

I have an 18moth old that loves the water. and the Aquatic fountain park is perfect for him to run around.

Fantastic and fun swim center. Very safe, lots of room to play, lifeguards are very attentive without being scary.
My only wish is that it was open more hours - we loved when Family Swim was 4-6pm every weeknight. Splash park only until 6:30pm is less fun for Mom, but we still love the center:)
