Along one side of Il Fiorello's olive groves, a creek creates just the right kind of soil drainage for the hearty trees that flourish in sunny, dry conditions. Totaling more than 2,000 in number, the trees help produce the award-winning olive oils that are crafted on-site. Visitors to Il Fiorello—which means "little flower" in Italian and nothing in Japanese—can tour the olive mill, which works through an impressive three tons of olives per hour. From there, guests can head to the tasting room to try samples of the finished product, as well as balsamic vinegar reductions.

The tour ended up being just my husband and I, we picked a quiet day, but it was fun. Ron, the manager, conducted the tour and was quite knowledgeable and answered our questions. The tasting center is beautiful, there is a very pleasant patio and a selection of wines and munchies. We learned a lot about the different olives and oils, and enjoyed some nice wines that the company has bottled for their brand. It was very enjoyable and we would recommend it highly.

This place was awesome! We had Mark guide us through the tasting, which was a fun and unique experience. The oils and vinegars were delicious. We will definitely be back!

There's so much knowledge and wisdom that's practiced at Il Fiorello. We loved it even though it was raining and cold out. It was warm and toasty inside. We didn't get to walk into the orchard or around the garden beds due to mud, but we saw the mill and the different machines that are used for pressing and extraction. The fall vegetables had been harvested and the spring ones were already planted. The olive oil tasting was so cool. Learned about flavors, pungency, and pairing of it with different foods. Really cool experience. Better to go during Autumn season to see the process. Loved the oil and vinegar that was gifted to us at the end. The hand creams are amazing, velvety and fragrant.
