About Cookies for Kids' Cancer 5K

When their son was diagnosed with cancer, Gretchen and Larry Witt learned firsthand about how expensive treatment can be. To deal with this, they founded Cookies for Kids' Cancer, a non-profit that raises funds for effective treatments for all types of childhood cancers. One of their biggest fundraisers: the Cookies for Kids' Cancer 5K. On September 12, participants in the 5K warm up with a fitness trainer before sprinting through Walter Y. Elisha Park. Once they reach the finish line, they're awarded with a goodie bag and the greatest post-race gift of all: a cookie.
