About BBQ Rib Fest (Fort Wayne)

For more than 15 years, summer in Indiana has meant ribs in Headwaters Park. BBQ Ribfest typically draws more than 40,000 people, all of them hungry for a mix of ribs, pulled pork, and barbecued chicken. Barbecue teams from around the country cook the food in their trademark styles, then serve it fresh off the grill, dousing the meats with sauces that range from hot and spicy to sweet and tangy. The festival isn't all about food, though—blues and jazz musicians perform live throughout the weekend, and on Saturday morning.
