FrogTutoring, Fort WorthAbout FrogTutoring
Roland Omene founded FrogTutoring with the belief that the first and most important step to successful tutoring is to find people who aren't just intelligent, but who are able to inspire their charges academically and personally. The certified and background-checked tutors follow three essential principles to help K–12 through college-age students both learn and grow more confident in their studies. First, the tutors follow the student's school curricula to review subjects that might have been missed. Then pairs work a chapter ahead so that tutees can be a step ahead in class and impress friends by predicting the future. Knowledge coaches will also share effective note-taking and organizational skills so that students will continue to learn more, even without a tutor by their side.
Each tutor is either a current student or alumnus of Texas Christian University or another Fort Worth–area university and has a 3.5 GPA or better in their tutoring specialization to better help students baffled by specific core subjects. During summer breaks, math and science camps in subjects such as chemistry and computer programming bolster confidence, fusing personalized tutoring with camaraderie-building group exercises.
