My 9-year-old son says "if you're homeschooled and studying about the Civil War, it's a great place to go!" We enjoyed it a lot. Men in period dress were very knowledgeable. We got to watch them shoot a gun also.

One of the best Civil War Museums in the country; I am interested in the subject and have been to several. Great coverage of Texas' contributions. Very helpful, friendly staff.

Our teenage grandsons enjoyed this as much as we did. They said they would go back anytime. They talked about it during dinner.

I think there is something for the whole family. History for my son (including a map of the Civil War United States and President Grant's sword and uniform), lots of weapons for my husband (a marine), victorian dresses and doll house for my daughter and I. I learned something new about Robert E. Lee. Fun and educational.
