About Don Le Studio

Orange County visual artist Don Le has a passion for expressing his subjects' inner beauty and personality. In his career in photography and video production, Le's portfolio spans across a wide range of styles, from wedding compositions to celebrity and fashion photoshoots to family portraits. Le's pieces often splash with a dreamy saturation of color, and he can upgrade a shot with his playful, inventive use of lighting, computer-generated backgrounds, and various angles. During three-hour photography courses, Le teaches students how to visualize and create photo compositions of their very own. Those courses include pointers in both outdoor and indoor photography, so you can properly capture Bigfoot in either the woods or a department store.

I really liked that the class was hands-on and we were allowed to get up and "play with" our cameras. My guests and I came with varying levels of knowledge but we each felt as though we cam away with something. I do have a few suggestions however. The multiple class time changes were a little frustrating because we had to rearrange schedules for our babysitting and work needs and I noticed one classmate missed half the class since he did not receive the last time change. Also, it would have helped if the seating had been arranged prior to the start of the class since there was a list of expected attendees. There were several recommendations for the outdoor class.

Mr. Le was very professional and covered a lot during the few short hours we were together. However, this class is great for someone with absolutely no basic digital camera knowledge. This class only covers the very basics, i.e. aperature, shutter speed, ISO. If you're looking to fine tune your skills, it would be best to look for an intermediate class.

Highly recommended. Don breaks everything down to it's simplest form so everyone can understand. Does a great job of explaining cause and affect of settings.

I had high hopes for this "class" unfortunetly the class was dominated by a student proposing to his girlfriend and for the exception of 15-20 min of the 3hrs class it all revolved around the proposal. I learned nothing about my camera and was hopeing to get my money back but had no idea how to go about it. It was a compleat waist of my time and money!
