About American Martial Arts Academy

In 1992, Brad (a retired Anaheim Police Officer) & Bonnie Wenneberg left the comfort of their successful careers and took a leap of faith to open a martial arts studio. Their very first student was a 10-year old boy in desperate need of self-esteem. Seeing him transform into a confident Black Belt leader, they knew that they were on the right path. Now, with a community of over 1,000 families, their greatest joy still comes from hearing the stories of parents of how the dojo has transformed their children. Now with two campuses, serving the Orange County area for almost 30 years, Shihan Brad & Bonnie are more passionate than ever about helping people.

This is a great studio! More than just karate. They have Parents Night Out, where they watch the kids for 4 hours and play games with them, and you get a night out! There is also daycare and tournaments. It's really kid and family centered

The staff are awesome! They have great follow up and communicate often. Very flexible as well. The facility is large and very clean. The kids love it there.

The instructor Joshe was very nice and explained everuthing we needed to know about the course, and what we can expect in the future for our daughter who is 6 years old, also the uniform is nice. Thank you!
