About Solis Winery

Nestled in the picturesque Santa Clara Valley, Solis Winery upholds the grand traditions of California's oldest continuous wine-growing region. Founded in 1917 by Italian immigrant Angelo Bertero, the winery was later bought by winemakers David and Valerie Vanni. And since the Vannis took over in 1989, Solis Winery has produced some of the region's most outstanding wines. The passion for winemaking now lives in the next generation of the family represented by Michael and Vic Vanni, who oversee every step of the production—from planting to bottling—on-site. Despite their extensive expertise, Michael and Vic nourish a friendly and down-to-earth approach with the aim to create a welcoming experience for all visitors. Their continuous efforts and passion for wine resulted in numerous prestigious awards in wine competitions in both local and international levels, such as:
