The 2016 Flavors of the West food festival runs from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Saturday, April 2. From 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM patrons can sample the culinary talents of West Valley chefs and restaurateurs. Organized in a walk-around format, restaurants will dish out tastes to what is expected to be a record-setting crowd. Switching gears at 7:00 PM, several local bands warm up the crowd for hometown favorites, Gin Blossoms, on the Yates Buick GMC Main Stage. The festivities are expected to last until 9:00 PM.

We had a great time, so much food! Fantastic beer selection. A better wine selection would be a great addition! Loved the Gin Blossoms. Even my grown sons had fun out with their Mom on this outing. Both enthusiasticly, said we are going next year!

The food was good and you got plenty. The lines for food moved quickly. However, the lines to get drinks were long and you had to wait a long time to get a drink which cut into your food time. Once you got to finally order a drink there was a very limited selection to choose from. There were not any diet sodas of any kind. Some people in our group do not drink alcoholic drinks and the only choice for them was lemonade or Coke, neither of which were diet. Next time have more drink stations and more choices of drinks.

Keep in mind the 5 drink tickets are for full size drinks, we had to Uber it home!

Use the Beer Garden to select from many craft style beers at multiple stations. Also no long lines! You will encounter lines on the concourse for mixed alcohol drinks and wines and beer. Food lines are long initially but moving. Servers are pleasant and try to provide the food as fast as possible.
