Gene Olson of Gene's Janitorial Service, Inc. started his cleaning business with just one employee: himself. After years of working in the commercial cleaning business, Gene decided to take the reins and forge his own career path, beginning with a dozen clients in 1995. As he continued to broaden his skill set, including obtaining OSHA certification, he began to receive more phone calls from clients in need of a thorough cleaning service. More than 15 years later, Gene is still at the helm of his cleaning service, personally completing his clients' house, office, or retail cleaning projects, or sending one of his trained family members dressed in his clothes. Their cleaning services range from short, hour long sessions that spruce up living rooms and kitchens, to comprehensive building services that include window cleaning, pressure washing, and floor stripping.
