About Long Dog Photos

Artists Dave and Terri have been married for 37 years, but their first encounters with photography stretch back as far as the late '60s, around the time when smiling was invented. Dave was the photographer for a naval ship during that era, while the '70s saw Terri become a master of portraits. Today, the two bring their unique experiences to Long Dog Photos. After obtaining patrons' personal photos via email, postal mail, or on-location photo shoots (for an additional fee), Terri sharpens the photo with computer software and transfers it to canvas using a paintbrush. Her painted renditions of photos vary in size, but always use vibrant colors to capture the life that pulses beneath the surface of each snapshot.
