The gel deal should have said it want a manicure. I was expecting a manicure with shellac. So that part was disappointing. I've purchased that same deal before from other salons and its always been a manicure with shellac.

The quality of the french (gel) manicure is okay. The tips are sloppy and not fully covered to the edges which is a pet peeve. Also, she said the manicure was "dry" due to the gel. Meaning there was no real manicure that happened, just a very quick touch-up of the cuticles and a bit of nail filing. I have had numerous gel manicures and this has never been the case. I am glad I did not pay full price for this. The lady who did my nails was very nice and friendly though so I feel bad mentioning all this. I hope she can take this as constructive.
