Thank you, it was a great experience! The masseuse/esthetician was very pleasant and professional. Where the spa is by appointment only and the door is locked when in session there should be a note on the door that you are currently in session,out to lunch or be back at ..., because I thought the Spa was out of business where the exterior is rather run down and the door was locked and the room dark. I then thought maybe it was down stairs and that was an empty room of boxes and a closet.

Karlyn was knowledgable about skincare, gave a great facial and was not "overly pushy" about selling products. Pushy salespeople can ruin a good spa treatment.

Spa was warm, comfortable and staff was extremely friendly. Also, very conveniently located for South Shore residents. I have travelled quiteba bit, been on a few cruises and visited some pretty upscale spas...my massage at Spa Ujala was the best massage I have ever had!

The person who administered my facial was friendly, but I was displeased by the service. Other facials I have received have included massage of the neck, shoulders, hands, and even feet. This facial included nothing below the chin (although I was instructed to disrobe to my comfort level), except for a very brief massage of my hands and lower arms (& the fingers of one hand). The harsh chemicals left my skin raw, greasy, and blemished for days. The facial included a painful period of pinching and squeezing to clear my pores with pressure on the nasal bone, to the point where my body was convulsing with each new assault. My nose remains sore six days afterward. More harm than good.
