When the staff at Wicked Awesome Productions set out to create an obstacle course that would spike participants' adrenaline, they figured it couldn't hurt to give the race a prison-break theme. The result was the aptly named Escape run, which requires runners to trek through mud, scale walls, climb nets, and crawl through a sewer pipe. The fleeing subsides when runners reach the post-race party area, where they can enjoy food, beer, and music off the warden's radar.
