About Julie Kaplan Photography

Julie Kaplan's fascination with cameras began when she was 12 years old, when her grandfather taught her about f-stops—the mechanism that allows photographers to control how much light enters the lens. Over the years, she developed in-depth knowledge of both traditional and digital photography. Now, she shares her skills with clients at a boutique North Shore photography studio, where she works to create a low-stress environment at photo shoots. The portraits Kaplan captures reveal her subjects' personalities and show the affection that family members or couples feel for one another. She also travels to snap shots in scenic locations or during special occasions such as bar mitzvahs.
