The best display of rocks and minerals that I have ever seen. Most of the specimens are behind glass so it is not too hard to bring children. Our kids loved the gift store. Lots of items for under $5.

Give yourself plenty of time to get through the museum. I made the mistake going close to their closing time and wasn't able to spend as much time as I wanted looking at everything. A very cool place to go and see!

What a gem of a place. I've been to the smithsonian in new york city and the collection here definitely rivals theirs. AMAZING!!!!!!! not to mention the pure craftmanship of the home that is housing the collection!!!!!!
