About Ghost Tours Texas

The ghastly guides of Ghost Tours Texas lead groups of foolhardy interlopers on story-filled journeys past the spectrally inhabited landmarks of Galveston and Houston Heights. On the Galveston tour, a knowledgeable leader takes parties through the Silk Stocking District to visit the 1858 Ashton Villa mansion, whose second floor is occupied by the phantom “Miss Betty” Brown, and whose basement is occupied by a man who years ago forgot how to work a doorknob. The guide also divulges tales told from eyewitness accounts.

The Houston Heights tour winds through the area's historical and opulent homes, exploring such mysteries as the story of the Dean Correl murders and the children who are said to still haunt the alleyways of Houston Heights. Guides weave tales of ghostly possessions and evil voodoo dolls peppered with real-life testimonies from local residents.

We thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of neat information and guide knew what she was talking about. I did notice one small thing. Somehow I do not remembering seeing in the fine print area that that they allow group ons for Sat use only. Also there is a$1.50 tax and doesn't include gratuity.

The tour itself was great and very informative. I do think that the poor guide needed help having everyone sign the waivers and collecting money before the tour. She was quite overwhelmed and clearly needed help at the very beginning with this. Some patrons became impatient and it was really not her fault. I had a a great time overall.

The tour guide was a very good story teller! I enjoyed listening to him about the history of the houses we went too & some of Galveston's history as well. :)

I enjoyed the history behind each of the sites we visited along the tour, but I would suggest that the tour guides be a little more convincing with their facts.

This was a history tour not a ghost tour. Not what we were looking for. We wanted to have fun & it was not. Left half way through the tour.

With all the rich history of Galveston I was expecting more. It was quite boring, the stories were lame. Was very spooky & not much info on paranormal activity In the area.

This was one of the worst walking tours I have ever done (having done several along the east coast as well as here in Houston). The guide seemed uninformed, stories didn't have a specific beginning, middle, & ending, & I learned nothing about the historic aspects of one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city (& the one in which I live). I went home & researched Heights ghost stories on my own, & learned more in 20 minutes than I did in the hour & a half we walked around on this tour. Truly disappointing- especially since I had brought friends along for a birthday-evening-out.
