This event was great & for a good cause. You can run (timed) , or not & walk if you choose. This is our 7th year for a reason. Don’t meet us there, beat us there in 2020.

For over 25 years, the BakerRipley Turkey Trot has transformed the streets around Houston into a moving celebration of goodwill and charity. Two separate USA Track and Field Certified courses including a family-friendly 1K kids run, make their way through the Uptown Galleria's most scenic areas.
Proceeds from the event, meanwhile, go to BakerRipley, a United Way agency. For 110 years, the organization has helped low-income individuals to become productive, prosperous, and self-sufficient. Each year, it brings resources and education to more than half a million people in 70 locations and 60 counties in Texas.

Great experience running through the Galleria area for $23 less than through the turkey trot website.

Everything was well organized except for the parking. Many people were late because everyone was funneled into the one lot that was full instead of being directed to other lots.
But the trot was well managed, activities for the kids to do afterwards and some vendors.
