That's because the bakery uses as few premade ingredients as possible; when making sweet-potato pie, the bakers pick out sweet potatoes at the farmers' market, bake them, and skin them rather than buying a readymade can, the owner told Creative Loafing. The owner and his beautiful daughter assisted me in making cupcake selections. He even went upstairs to ice another cupcake for me. They all were moist and tasty! My favorite was the double chocolate (perfect chocolaty sweetness!), next the white chocolate raspberry, yummy white chocolate icing and cake w/raspberry preserves in the middle, next would be the red velvet, moist cake and good cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake could have used a couple more nuts and a tad less sweet frosting (prob. me!?) Overall, excellent choice to support a local, family-run business in quaint side of Cornelius.

Great cupcake selection, which are delicious. Owners are very friendly and were willing to go over and above to help make my daughter's 16th birthday extra fun.

The cupcakes were delicious . The only thing that would have made them better would be if they looked pretty. This place has beautiful cakes and cupcakes but these were just not what I hoped for.

Cake was not what I ordered. Sent picture and everything. The cake was suppose to be black and it was purple. Completely wrong.

A higher quality cupcake/cake shop compared to some others around town. Tiny shop but great variety! Their fondant cake displays were gorgeous, and cupcakes tasty and moist! However, no cannolis :( Will be my go-to place for custom cakes.
