About OC/RC Raceway

OC/RC Raceway is the kind of joint where no one rushes to give aid after a car flips into the air and crashes into the dusty track. That’s because vehicles are barely big enough to fit their driver’s big toe. Instead, drivers stand safely several feet away, furiously manipulating knobs on a remote control as their electric car and a pack of competitors speed by. Florescent lights reveal every contour, steep jump, and active volcano in the indoor, high bite-clay track, which covers 8,400 square feet of space. Buggies and trucks power up for their endless series of races at 130 pit spaces, and a hobby shop tends to those in need of repair or extra gear. The track remains open seven days a week until at least 9 p.m., with all of the action documented on the raceway’s YouTube channel.
