The location near 281 on Bitters Rd is much better than the one at 410 and Blanco. The Blanco one seemed less clean and not managed as well. The bar was not kept as straightened and cleaned up. We told them the "ice cream" was totally tasteless, like it was just ice. They just shrugged. Other patrons thought the same thing. We had to ask them to refill the lettuce, etc on the salad bar. At the Bitters Rd, they also had fresh strawberries on the dessert bar. Their food was fresher looking and presented well. We also liked the fact that the plates at this location didn't look as used and scratched (read very old and distasteful looking) as at the Blanco Rd. location.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. While the restaurant is generally clean, the area to the left of the soup (near the silverware) appears to need some cleaning and perhaps some updating -- looks pretty old and shabby. Sorry, but the "brownies" are dry and barely resemble cake. Having said that, I'm glad to have a soup & salad buffet in San Antonio! By the way, while there is no option (below) to refuse to allow my name to be "published online", I do not want my name used. You may use my initials, however -- JCK.
