About Pleasantville Golf & Country Club

Pleasantville Golf & Country Club's nine-hole course blankets the Marion County countryside with a circuit of tree-lined fairways. Originally opened in 1965, the course boasts the trademarks of a mature layout, with well-defined greens, tall timbers, and fairways that are starting to show flecks of gray. The semiprivate club also encompasses an outdoor swimming pool and Bogey's, a grill with a full-service bar and a menu of sandwiches, burgers, and other casual eats.:

Great course! Fareways were dry but that is to be expected with the drought this past summer. Staff was super friendly too!!

Good for a cheap golf course. Greens definitely need to be spiked and verti-cut more often though -- they're soggy and holding water. I had a number of approach shots bury into their ball marks on the putting surface, which will pebble and destroy the green surface in the long run.

dont go on Sunday morning, the regulars are there and they are a bit fussy if you are not a super experienced golfer.

Course was in terrible shape! Tee boxes were dry broke tees off setting them in place to tee off. Course was full of leaves! Fairways were the worst part filled with leaves. I have played on other courses since the leaves started to fall and had no issues with leave piles on the course.

I have golfed several places in my life. The course was not kept up and the clubhouse was not kept up. I felt it was over priced.

The greens were in good condition but the fairways and tee boxes were in pretty bad shape.
