About Brown Marine

Brown Marine keeps fishers, recreationists, and aquaphobious goldfish afloat between the 649 miles of tree-lined shores that define Lake Murray. The team represents a culmination of more than 70 years of experience as an authorized dealer in Crestliner, Mercury, and Sea Boss watercraft, selling and repairing boats and setting guests sailing for themselves with pontoon rentals.

We were double booked but we got to go and the other ppl left. there were beer cans that were rusted and attracting flies that were biting us the whole time. Other than that it was decent.

These boats are in terrible shape We were embarrassed to be out on the lake with this moldy. Boat. And it made a very loud noise in reverse like it was going to blow up! We will never use this marina again

The pontoon was very old burned lots of gas and smelled like gas the whole time we were on the lake... The people running the place were very very nice....gas was very over price

The people were really nice & accommodating, but the boats were not nice. Ours was leaking oil really bad & had riped seats. Not the best with a little one

I think that Brown Marine offered a great deal but almost a little too good. They need to take some time to repair their boats that are in apparent use all of the time. One boat did not have reverse, another boat was broken and the one we were on was leaking oil everywhere and we were made to pay for it afterwards not knowing how much we actually used. There was no short wave radio for communication with the marina should an emergency happen or compass on the boat. Two of the doors on the boat were broken as well. When we paid the men had no change for our cash. The operation needs some serious management. I appreciated our trip but I'm also very thankful that nothing went seriously wrong.

The facilities consisted of rundown shacks with above ground runoff from the toilets (very visible); the dock was old and rickety; the pontoon was old & dirty with torn seats; there was an oil slick at the ladder when anchored to swim; over $5 gas; and had to wait 10 minutes for $2 change. Definitely will not go back.

The attendant was very nice, but the boat was in need of repairs.
